THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX
Indeed, it requires creative thinking if you want to live and work in an apartment of 60 square meters with two cats and arrange the living spaces as functionally as possible.

For some people, 60 square meters sounds quite spacious. I agree, but if you are used to living on 97 square meters, downsizing to 60 square meters can be quite tricky.
​
Fortunately, I am a visual person which means I think in pictures and detail and I have a vivid imagination. In combination with my deep-rooted love for desinging & styling, this is a guaranteed success!
​
I already knew pretty well how I would divide the various living spaces, what furnishings I would include, and how I would decorate them. I chose to keep it light and neutral, both in colors and materials.
​
I have chosen a few large pieces of furniture, here and there an accent wall with lovely and decorative wallpaper, natural materials such as cotton, linen, wool, wood, wicker and jute. It feels good, it feels warm, comfortable and cozy. It feels like home, it is “gezellig”.

Through my blog I will keep you informed about the progress I am making in designing & styling my apartment. There are always projects that need to be done. Ideas galore!
